  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Press tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, and green onions, and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add tofu cubes and cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned on all sides.
  5. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and vegetable broth.
  6. Pour the sauce over the tofu, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  7. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into the sauce to thicken, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice.
