  6. Uncover the pot, stir in the shrimp, and cook until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the pot from heat and gently stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well incorporated.
  8. Plating is optional; however, for best results, serve immediately.
