Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, garlic, and ginger. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 15–20 minutes until cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs bake, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, and rice vinegar.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring constantly until the glaze thickens.
  7. Once the meatballs are cooked, brush them with the glaze and return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish the meatballs with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
