Malai Methi is a creamy and flavorful Indian dish made with fresh fenugreek leaves cooked in a rich sauce. Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh fenugreek leaves, washed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 1 Tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 Tbsp of ghee in a pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
  2. Once the seeds crackle, add 2 cups of chopped fenugreek leaves and sauté for 5 minutes until the leaves are slightly wilted.
  3. Add 1 tsp of coriander powder and 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder. Mix well to coat the leaves with spices.
  4. Pour in 1/2 cup of fresh cream and simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  5. Serve in a white dish with roti or rice, garnished with extra cumin seeds if desired.
