These Nutella Lava Cookies feature a gooey chocolate center, capturing the perfect balance of crisp edges and molten delight.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, and then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it slightly in your palm.
- Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center and fold the dough around it, rolling into a ball to completely encase the Nutella.
- Place each cookie ball onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-13 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
