Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped (Gala or Fuji)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Method

  1. Combine the chopped apples, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are very soft, about 10 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat, stir in the lemon juice, and let cool for 15 minutes.

  4. Purée the cooked apple mixture in a blender or food processor until smooth.

  5. Stir the Greek yogurt into the apple purée until fully blended.

  6. Stir the sea salt into the caramel sauce in a small bowl.

  7. Spoon alternating layers of the apple-yogurt mixture and salted caramel sauce into 10 popsicle molds, swirling gently with a thin skewer or toothpick.

  8. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze until solid, at least 6 hours.

  9. Run the molds briefly under warm water to release the popsicles before serving.
