Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. In a medium bowl or two mason jars, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey, almond extract, and salt. Stir well to fully combine.

  2. Fold in half of the cherries, reserving the rest for topping.

  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 8 hours, until the oats have softened and thickened.

  4. Stir the oats before serving, adding a splash of milk if the mixture is too thick.

  5. Top with the remaining cherries and toasted sliced almonds just before serving.
