- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil

- In a large Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
- Add the beef stew meat and cook, browning all sides for about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Stir in the cumin, cinnamon, paprika, and cayenne pepper, mixing well.
- Pour in the beef broth, tomato sauce, and lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Add the drained chickpeas and simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve the Chickpea and Meat Stew hot with rice or pita bread.
