Ingredients

  • 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 6 oz canned crab meat, drained
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 12 oz wonton wrappers
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, soy sauce, and black pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal securely.
  4. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the Crab Rangoon in batches until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or plum sauce.
