Ingredients
- 1 box ziti pasta
- 1 jar tomato sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, and dried basil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta, tomato sauce mixture, ricotta cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
