Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender buds
- 1 ounce elderflower liqueur
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3 ounces chilled dry sparkling wine
- 1 ounce chilled club soda
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 lemon wheel, for garnish
- 1 sprig fresh lavender or edible flower, for garnish

Combine the water, sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Remove from heat and let the lavender steep in the syrup.

Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a small jar, discarding the lavender buds, and let cool to room temperature.

Fill a wine glass with ice cubes.

Pour in 1/2 ounce of the cooled lavender syrup, the elderflower liqueur, and the lemon juice, then stir briefly to combine.
