Ingredients

  • 6 cups day-old bread, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a 9x13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Add the bread cubes to the bowl and toss thoroughly until evenly coated with the oil mixture.

  4. Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, sprinkling the Parmesan cheese over the top.

  5. Bake, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crisp, 15 to 18 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving or storing in an airtight container.
