Thinly sliced garlic is sautéed low and slow until soft and golden, mellowing its sharp bite into a nutty, buttery flavor. Use it as a topping for pasta, steak, vegetables, or toasted bread, or stir it into sauces for an instant depth of flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Method
-
Peel about 4 heads worth of garlic cloves (roughly 1/2 cup) and slice them thinly and evenly.
-
