Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and water to create a batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off excess, and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake the cauliflower for 20 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Stir the sauce occasionally and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  7. Remove cauliflower from the oven and toss with the sesame ginger glaze until well coated.
  8. Return the glazed cauliflower to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving immediately.
