Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 8 fresh thyme sprigs

Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely.

Add the thyme sprigs, bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse.

Remove from heat and let the syrup steep with the thyme sprigs for 15 minutes to deepen the flavor.
