These turkey meatballs are mixed with garlic, parmesan, and fresh herbs, then baked until lightly browned and juicy inside. Served alongside warm marinara for dipping, they work well as a weeknight dinner over pasta or as a shareable appetizer. The baking method keeps them lighter than fried versions while still delivering a crisp exterior.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Method
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
-
Roll the mixture into 16 meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches each, and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Drizzle the meatballs with olive oil and bake until golden brown and cooked through, 18 to 20 minutes.
-
While the meatballs bake, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
-
Transfer the meatballs to a serving platter and serve warm with the marinara sauce for dipping.
