This simple sparkler pairs tart grapefruit juice with chilled sparkling water for a light, refreshing drink that needs almost no effort to pull together. A bruised rosemary sprig adds a piney aroma that plays well against the citrus. It works as a non-alcoholic refresher or as a base you can splash with gin or vodka.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh grapefruit juice, chilled
- 1/2 cup sparkling water, chilled
- 1 rosemary sprig, for garnish
- 1 cup ice cubes
Method
-
Lightly bruise the rosemary sprig by rolling it between your fingers to release its aroma.
-
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
-
Pour the chilled grapefruit juice over the ice.
-
Top with the chilled sparkling water and stir gently once to combine.
-
Tuck the bruised rosemary sprig into the glass as a garnish and serve immediately.
