This Prohibition-inspired cocktail blends bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and honey syrup into a smooth, tart-sweet sip. Shaken hard with ice to chill and slightly dilute, it's served over a single large ice cube and makes a solid whiskey-forward alternative to a classic whiskey sour.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce honey syrup
- 1 lemon twist, for garnish
Method
-
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the bourbon, lemon juice, and honey syrup.
-
Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch.
-
Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
-
Twist the lemon peel over the glass to release its oils, then drop it in or rest it on the rim as garnish.
