Each pop offers a healthy option for a snack or dessert, suitable for both kids and adults. The combination of ripe bananas and smooth Greek yogurt not only provides a delicious flavor but also offers nutritional benefits, including a good source of potassium. These pops are incredibly easy to prepare, requiring only a few ingredients and no cooking time, making them an excellent choice for a quick, cooling snack during warm weather.
Ingredients
- 3 large bananas
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them in half crosswise. Carefully insert a popsicle stick into the flat end of each banana half.
- Coat each banana half thoroughly with Greek yogurt, ensuring an even layer. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and freeze the banana pops for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm.
- Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- One by one, dip the frozen yogurt-coated bananas into the melted chocolate, ensuring each is well coated, and immediately sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Return the chocolate and nut-coated bananas to the parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze again until the chocolate has set firmly, approximately 30 minutes.
