Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 whole eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with a light coating of butter or nonstick spray.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
- Mix in the sugar, vanilla extract, and salt into the chocolate mixture until well combined.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time into the mixture, ensuring each is well mixed before adding the next.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the center feels set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before removing. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Before serving, lightly dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.

Very Chocolaty!
This cake is super easy to make and came out very gooey and rich. The outside is a little crispy while the inside is fudgy and very chocolaty. I maybe could have baked it another minute or two but the toothpick came out clean so I removed it from the oven. It deflated while it cooled (expected with flourless chocolate cakes) but is a little delicate to remove from the pan and cut slices of. Next time, I may try using one less egg but, overall, delicious!
