Under-$15 Cheeseburger Sliders

Ingredients
For the Sliders:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (+ 1/2 teaspoon for garlic butter topping
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 small onion, diced (optional)
- 1 pack (12-count) slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
- 2 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoon butter, melted
For the Big Mac-Style Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons relish (sweet or dill, your choice)
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain the excess fat.
- Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional diced onion. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar over the bottom buns. Spread the cooked beef evenly over the cheese. Top with the remaining cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
- Mix melted butter with ½ tsp garlic powder, then brush over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
- While the sliders bake, mix together the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Chill until ready to serve.
- Slice the sliders, serve with the Big Mac–style sauce for dipping, and enjoy with a side salad if desired.
