Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a saucepan.
  2. Whisk ingredients together until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and allow the sauce to cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. After cooking, remove the saucepan from heat. Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature.
  6. Transfer the cooled sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate until needed.
