Ingredients

  • 1 whole pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 whole ripe tomatoes, sliced

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or upside-down baking sheet inside to heat up.
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a circle, about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer dough to a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
  4. Top dough with sliced mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil leaves. Drizzle with olive oil and lightly season with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper.
  5. Slide pizza onto preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
