Indulge in the comfort of Chicken Parmesan Sliders, featuring crispy chicken patties rich with marinara sauce, and topped with melted mozzarella. These are sandwiched between buttery garlic buns, making them a great choice for a quick dinner or a satisfying party snack. With accessible ingredients and straightforward steps, these sliders offer a delightful meal experience that is both simple and flavorful.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese
- 8 whole slider buns
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chicken breasts one at a time between two sheets of plastic wrap. Using a meat mallet, flatten them to 1/2-inch thickness. Season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs and grated parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken breast in the mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat 2 Tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once melted and foamy, add the breaded chicken breasts. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking sheet. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and place a slice of mozzarella on top.
- Bake in the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Meanwhile, split the slider buns and spread minced garlic evenly on the cut sides. Toast them in the same skillet or in a toaster oven until golden.
- Assemble each slider by placing a chicken piece with sauce and cheese on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Top with the other half and serve immediately.
