Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

  5. Remove the skillet from heat and carefully add the cooked spaghetti, tossing to coat in the sizzling oil.
  6. Add reserved pasta water gradually, stirring until the sauce is evenly distributed.
  7. Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Transfer the pasta to serving bowls and top with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
