This chopped Italian sandwich features layers of cured meats, provolone, and a spicy kick from hot peppers.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Italian bread
  • 4 ounces mortadella, sliced
  • 4 ounces salami, sliced
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mixed hot peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing

Instructions

  1. Lay out 4 slices of Italian bread on a flat surface.
  2. Layer each slice with 1 ounce of mortadella, 1 ounce of salami, and 1 ounce of provolone cheese.
  3. Add about 2 tablespoons of sliced hot peppers on top of the cheese layer.
  4. Place an even layer of arugula over the hot peppers.
  5. Drizzle each sandwich with 1 tablespoon of Italian dressing.
  6. Top with the remaining 4 slices of Italian bread.
  7. Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
