Instructions

  3. In the same pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the shelled fava beans and sauté for 5 minutes until tender.
  4. Stir in the chopped dill, saffron water, and salt. Mix to combine the flavors.
  5. Layer the partially cooked rice over the bean mixture in the pot. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, make several holes in the rice to allow steam to escape.
  6. Cover the pot with a clean kitchen towel placed under the lid to catch condensation. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes to steam the rice.
  7. Once cooked, fluff the rice gently with a fork, incorporating the bean mixture for even distribution. Serve and enjoy the dish.
