Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 whole slider buns
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  5. While the meatballs are baking, slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, place one meatball on the bottom half of each slider bun.
  7. Spoon a tablespoon of marinara sauce over each meatball, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and top with chopped basil.
  8. Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and put them back in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and place the top half of the slider buns over the cheese and basil.
  10. Serve the sliders warm.
