- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 12 whole slider buns
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- While the meatballs are baking, slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
- Once the meatballs are done, place one meatball on the bottom half of each slider bun.
- Spoon a tablespoon of marinara sauce over each meatball, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and top with chopped basil.
- Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and put them back in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and place the top half of the slider buns over the cheese and basil.
- Serve the sliders warm.
