Experience a classic Reuben sandwich with a twist by using an air fryer for a crispier texture and reduced oil.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 1/2 pound corned beef, sliced
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1/4 cup Russian dressing
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
  3. Place half of the bread slices, buttered side down, and spread Russian dressing on them.
  4. Layer with corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  6. Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry each batch for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is crispy and the cheese has melted.
  8. Carefully remove from the air fryer, slice each sandwich in half, and serve warm.
