Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 slices brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp bourbon
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with a pinch of salt and pepper, then form into 4 patties.
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain excess fat.
  3. Using the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of brie on each patty, covering the pan to help the cheese melt.
  5. Split the burger buns and toast them in the skillet until golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. To assemble each burger, place a patty on the bottom bun, add two slices of bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup. Top with the second half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately, omitting any additional instructions.
