Ingredients
- 12 oz white bread slices
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar

- In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of cornstarch over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Let the custard cool slightly, about 10 minutes.
- Line a baking dish with 6 ounces of white bread slices. Pour half of the custard over the bread, spreading it evenly.
- Add another layer with the remaining 6 ounces of bread slices and top with the remaining custard, ensuring even coverage.
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly.
- In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup of water over medium heat until syrupy, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of orange blossom water.
- Pour the syrup evenly over the chilled dessert and garnish with 1/4 cup of chopped pistachios.
- Serve the Aish El-Saraya chilled.
