Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash the ripe avocado until smooth.
  3. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed avocado and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the avocado mixture, stirring until the dough comes together.
  6. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
