Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
  • 24 whole ladyfingers, gluten-free
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Add mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Beat until smooth and fully combined.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur together.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1 to 2 seconds, ensuring they are well-soaked but not overly saturated, and then layer them in a serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the layer of ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat the process with another layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  7. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, allowing the flavors to meld and the dessert to firm up.
  8. Before serving, use a fine sieve to dust the top with cocoa powder for an elegant finish.
