Create a spooky centerpiece with this gelatin brain mold filled with a vibrant strawberry sauce for a gory effect.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 packages strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 cups strawberries, pureed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brain mold by lightly greasing it with a non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
  3. Add cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Pour the gelatin mixture into the prepared brain mold. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until firmly set.
  5. To make the strawberry sauce, combine pureed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Cook the strawberry mixture, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly. Let it cool.
  7. Once the gelatin is set, carefully invert the mold onto a serving platter.
  8. Spoon the strawberry sauce over the gelatin brain for a creepy effect. Serve immediately.
