Ingredients
- 4 portobello mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Brush the portobello mushrooms with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the mushrooms on the grill gill side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until they develop grill marks.
- Flip the mushrooms and continue to grill for an additional 4-5 minutes until tender.
- While the mushrooms are grilling, in a saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is reduced by half and becomes syrupy, about 5 minutes.
- Remove mushrooms from the grill and drizzle with the balsamic reduction.
- Sprinkle freshly chopped basil over the top and serve immediately.
