Ingredients

  • 14 ounces extra firm tofu, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to prepare the teriyaki marinade.
  2. Add the tofu cubes into the bowl and gently toss to coat them evenly. Cover and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the tofu is slightly charred and heated through.
