Ingredients
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground lamb, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and chopped fresh coriander leaves. Mix well and shape into small meatballs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the meatballs until they are browned on all sides. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the tomato puree, water, and heavy cream. Stir and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the pan with the sauce and simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, garnish the dish with additional chopped coriander leaves.
