Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add the yogurt and water, then mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rest for 1 hour.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Roll out each ball of dough into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Place the rolled dough on the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface.
  8. Using a spatula, flip the dough and cook for another 2 minutes until puffy and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the skillet and brush with melted butter.
  10. Serve warm as an accompaniment to curries, kebabs, or dips.
