Philly Cheesesteak with Onions and Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • 4 whole hoagie rolls
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 Tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and green bell pepper. Cook until they are soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Move the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the empty side. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Mix the beef with the onions and peppers, then place slices of Provolone cheese on top. Let the cheese melt over the mixture, about 2 minutes.
  5. Split the hoagie rolls lengthwise. Fill each roll with the cheesesteak mixture and serve immediately while hot.
