Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 30 count round dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges lightly with water, fold the dumpling in half, and firmly pinch the edges to seal.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully arrange the dumplings in the skillet in a single layer with the flat side down.
  4. Cook the dumplings until the bottoms are golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes. Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately to steam for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid and continue cooking until the water has evaporated and the bottoms are crisp again, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the potstickers while hot, with soy sauce or a preferred dipping sauce on the side.
