Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 head butter lettuce

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, making sure to crumble the chicken as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic and onion, and cook until onions become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and sriracha until well combined.
  5. Add water chestnuts and green onions, cook for another 2 minutes until the green onions are tender.
  6. Spoon several tablespoons of the chicken mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf, taco-style.
