White Cheddar Truffle Mac and Cheese offers a luxuriously creamy twist on a comforting classic with a hint of truffle oil.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp truffle oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the white cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheeses are completely melted into the sauce.
  5. Mix in the truffle oil, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni, making sure all the pasta is well coated.
  7. Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased 8" x 8" baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle the panko breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the mac and cheese.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy your White Cheddar Truffle Mac and Cheese!
