Enjoy crispy flaxseed crackers served with a creamy and nutty hummus, topped with a hint of smoked paprika.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flaxseeds, ground
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup hummus
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground flaxseeds, water, olive oil, and salt to form a dough mixture.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to allow the flaxseeds to absorb the water fully.
  4. Spread the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and flatten evenly with a rolling pin, aiming for about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the crackers cool on a wire rack.
  7. Once cool, break the large cracker sheet into individual pieces.
  8. Serve the flaxseed crackers with hummus, and sprinkle smoked paprika over the hummus for added flavor.
