Creamy and indulgent, this peach bourbon ice cream blends ripe peaches with the warm notes of bourbon.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cups bourbon
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sliced peaches, 1/4 cup of sugar, and bourbon. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until peaches are softened and syrupy, about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool. Blend the peach mixture until smooth, then set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine the remaining sugar, heavy cream, and milk. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot, but not boiling.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the peach puree, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until completely cool.
  6. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  7. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
