  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine cabbage, carrots, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the vegetable mixture in the center of a gyoza wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pleat the edges to seal tightly.
  4. Preheat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat, then place the gyoza in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  6. Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan and cover immediately to steam the gyoza for about 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and continue cooking until the water fully evaporates, leaving the gyoza crispy on the bottom.
