Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup sugar, white
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast, active dry
  • 3 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar, white
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and 1/4 cup white sugar in a small bowl. Add yeast and let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour with 1/4 cup melted butter. Gradually pour in the yeast mixture and stir to form a sticky dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and allow it to rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Brush with 1/4 cup melted butter, evenly sprinkle 1/4 cup white sugar and 2 tbsp ground cinnamon over it, then roll it up starting from the long edge.
  5. Place the rolled dough in a greased loaf pan, seam side down. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes in a warm place.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
