Experience the zesty delight of Lemon Sorbet, a tangy and refreshing frozen treat. Crafted with fresh lemon juice and a hint of zest, this sorbet offers a vibrant burst of citrus flavor. Its simple ingredients and straightforward preparation allow anyone to create a refreshing dessert at home. Enjoy as a palate cleanser or a light finish to any meal, this sorbet promises a pleasing citrus kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 Tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium flame until sugar completely dissolves, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Once dissolved, remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  2. Add fresh lemon juice and zest to the cooled sugar syrup, stirring until the mixture is well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a shallow dish suitable for freezing. Place the dish in the freezer to start the freezing process.
  4. Every 30 minutes, stir the sorbet vigorously with a fork to break up ice crystals. This helps to create a smoother texture. Continue this process for about 2 hours or until the sorbet is properly frozen.
  5. Serve immediately in chilled bowls or scooped into cones. If desired, garnish with additional lemon zest for extra flavor and decoration.
