Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, chopped basil, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
- Cook the patties on the preheated grill or skillet for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- While the burgers cook, mix mayonnaise and pesto in a small bowl to make the pesto mayo.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading pesto mayo on each side of the bun, placing the turkey patties on the bottom buns, and topping with sliced tomato and red onion.
- Serve immediately.
