Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pieces red chili, sliced
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp green onions, chopped
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced ginger, minced garlic, and sliced red chili to the pan. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the can of coconut milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Season the dish with 1 Tbsp of fish sauce and stir in the chopped green onions.
- Serve the Ginataang Hipon hot over a bed of steamed rice.
