Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raw almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats and chopped almonds.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix honey, brown sugar, and butter until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in salt and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the honey mixture over the oat and almond mix, stirring to ensure even coating.
  6. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking pan and press firmly to create an even layer.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  8. Remove from refrigerator, cut into 12 bars, and serve.
